Emma Watson's New Eco-Clothing Collaboration

SNEAK PEEK : Emma Watson's New Eco-Clothing Collaboration

As the reigning face of Burberry, Emma Watson is already an established fashionista, so when we found out she would be designing a charity line for British fair-trade fashion label People Tree, we couldn’t wait to see what she had up her stylish sleeve. And by the looks of it, Emma did not disappoint! Acting as a creative advisor, Emma helped the team at People Tree create a vibrant collection of knitwear for women and men, consisting of cotton T-shirts, jersey dresses, poplin skirts and shorts. And what’s more, Emma shows off her designs in a 36-page color catalogue for the label. “I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to help alleviate poverty,” she says in a statement. “I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian and environmental issues surrounding fast fashion.” As such, 80% of Watson’s new line is made of 100% fair trade-certified cotton. Love what you see? People Tree will begin shipping to the U.S.A this week. –David Yi
